Shaven-headed bomber, sex-starved albino, elf queen, society beauty, crazy American housewife, sixteenth-century English queen (twice), Irish journalist, famous movie star, frontier woman, KGB agent, British SOE operative, Maid Marian, and Bob Dylan: that’s quite a variety of characters for an actress to cover but Cate Blanchett has managed it, creating believable characters who look and act very differently.
