In this terminal illness melodrama, Hope (Dana Delany) learns she suffers from Systemic Scleroderma.
The TV movie follows her and her family through the stages of the illness.
There were five separate makeups for the different stages of Hope’s transformation as the illness progressed: the final stage requiring a mamoth seven-hour makeup session. The prosthetics were designed by Tom and Bari Dreiband-Burman of Burman Studios: Todd McIntosh also worked on the makeup.
‘We spent about $100,000 on prosthetics … The final stage was full teeth, full makeup and the hairline receded.’
