This was a 1926 silent film based on a novel by George Barr McCutcheon, and set in the fictional country of Graustark.
Learning that her cousin Oscar is the heir to the throne of Graustark, Beverly Calhoun (Marion Davies) joins him there.
When Oscar is injured while skiing the Regent suggests that Beverly wear Oscar’s uniform and impersonate him until he recovers. She falls for her bodyguard who foils an assassination plot and who turns out to be a prince in disguise himself – of course.
