Character makeups: The grotesques

Featuring actresses – usually of a certain age – who have developed a special niche in the market. They have played a number of characters who (whether evil or just odd) have in common that they are true grotesques.

Some but not all the characters are grotesque in appearance; others are just quirky. All are, however, truly grotesque.
