In 1870s America, a peaceful Danish settler kills his family’s murderers which unleashes the fury of Delaru, a notorious gang leader and the brother of one of the murderers. In line with the typical Western trope, his cowardly fellow townspeople then betray him, forcing him to stand up to the outlaws alone.
Madelaine (Eva Green) is Delaru's newly-widowed sister-in-law. She has a particularly brutal backstory: she is mute and has a scar across her mouth from having her tongue cut out by an Indian tribe as a girl.
Ann Elizabeth Bartels was the makeup designer; Dennis Knudsen was the makeup artist (Ms Green).
Thomas Foldberg & Morten Jacobsen of Soda ApS were responsible for special makeup effects & dummies; Graham Press was the prosthetic makeup supervisor.
