Disguise makeups: Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano

Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano was a celebrity fakeover show which aired on India’s Star Plus channel in 2009. The participants were Gulshan Grover, Divya Dutta, Mona Singh, Yash Tonk, Mahesh Manjrekar, Mandira Bedi, Rakhi Sawant, and Sweta Keswan. Unlike the Anonymous franchise this show was run as a competition between the participants. The finalists were: Mona Singh, Mahesh Manjrekar, Yash Tonk and Rakhi Sawant. Mona Singh was the overall ‘behroopiya’.

Streamed videos – of variable quality – of both excerpts and complete shows were online at Dailymotion, Video Masti and, of course, YouTube. If you search for the show, be aware that the transliteration into the Latin alphabet is likely to vary.
