Die kleine Hexe

An eager, young – she’s only 127 – witch (Karoline Herfurth) wants to join the big witches in their coven. She practices hard and sneaks into the coven on Walpurgis Night. When she is discovered the Witches’ Council burn her broom but promise her that she can join the following year if she becomes a good witch.

The little witch tries for a year to do enough good deeds, helps poor people, punishes bad guys, saves animals and makes new friends. But when she reports back to the Witches’ Council, it turns out thatthey meant that she should become good at being evil.

Karoline Herfurth spoke about the makeup for her look in the film:

Die kleine Hexe hat in den Bildern im Buch genau so eine Nase. Die wollten wir nachbauen, weil sie so bekannt ist. Die Nase hat mir sehr geholfen, Hexe zu sein, weil sich schon allein durch sie mein Gesicht und meine Mimik verändert haben. Die Nase ist aus Silikon gemacht. Sie wurde beim Dreh jeden Morgen aufgeklebt und abends wieder abgemacht. Besonders schwierig für die Maskenbildner war aber nicht das Ankleben, sondern den Übergang von meiner echten zur falschen Nase so hinzukriegen, dass man ihn nicht sieht. Die Silikonnase musste also genau meine Gesichtsfarbe haben mitsamt meinen vielen Sommersprossen. Das ist eine richtige Kuns
