Period makeups: Biblical characters

Featuring various characters mentioned in the Bible but of varying historicity from Abraham’s wife to Roman times.

I make no apology for positioning Biblical characters within mythical history: traditional stories concerning ‘the early history of a people or explaining a natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events’.

Some, like the Queen of Sheba and Delilah, probably had no historical existence – or at least I know of no evidence outside the Bible for their existence – while others, like Salome (who is only mentioned as a daughter of Herodias in the Bible), are independently attested.

Some characters who appear in Biblical stories are more appropriately featured in the Egyptian and Roman sections.
