Racechanging: Tomahawk

In 1866, a new gold discovery and an inconclusive conference result in the US Army building a road and fort in territory ceded by previous treaty to the Sioux – to the disgust of frontier scout Jim Bridger, whose Cheyenne wife had helped him to see the conflict from both sides before she and his son were killed in a massacre.

Monahseetah (Susan Cabot), his wife’s sister, was the sole survivor of the massacre. She discovers that one of the army officers was amongst those responsible.

The powder-keg situation needs only a spark to bring war, and violent bigots are all too likely to provide this.
