Matt Masters takes his rambling Wild West Show to Europe looking for Lili Alfredo, who disappeared fourteen years earlier following the death of her husband, The Flying Alfredo. At the time it was believed that Alfredo plunged to his death deliberately when he realised Lili loved Matt and not him.

Matt brings with him Toni (Claudia Cardinale), Lili’s daughter who has grown up to become a beautiful trapeze artist.

In one scene Toni takes part in a clown routine.

In the UK this movie was released as The Magnificent Showman.
